Good day, we received an email from visa enquires and it goes this way, PLEASE BE INFORMED THAT HIS ADMINISTRATIVE REVIEW WAS UPHELD BY THE ENTRY CLEARANCE REVIEW. by this sir, we would like to ask ur intrpretation on the word upheld if what does it mean?What does the terminology means regarding the result cause i havent receive the result yet that was sent by reg post july 31 then.Tanx

Upheld means that they are satisfied that the decision to refuse your entry clearance is correct. In short, your request for review is denied.

I wonder why two applicants who used the same visa letter from the same institution didn’t have the same result. One got the visa and the other got denied.
As for the administrative review, on the notice for review it’s written that An Entry Clearance Manager would handle the case. However, when you receive the decision for the review request, it is written that a review team worked on your request. How consistent!

How can the embassy refuse a visa letter that contains the same institution (from their registered list) but using a branch address..They are suppose to know that, right?
Then another applicant whose school had the same branch address in the visa letter was granted visa. The other unlucky applicant was denied just because of the address. IS THAT FAIR???

application for student visa sent february this year,until now no result latest information given by the agency ,the application was sent to high commissioner.where’s the high commissioner office or contact numbers?

Mihaela, your college must be in DIUS register because you are a romanian citizen, not in TIER 4 registrer this is for visa and we don’t need visa to work here, we need just a permit and is not the same
I am a romanian citizen as well, I am working in UK and I have been refused by UKBA . I have an appeal to do on thursday, 10 .09.2009, my solicitor on immigration matters sais that is DIUS list

My college was suspended. Am I advised to transfer another College while I have still 8months remaining or stay until something happens?

THERE IS A BIG PROBLEM WITH COLLEGES WHO DELIBERATELY REFUSE TO REVEAL THEIR SPONSORSHIP STATUS. THE UK BORDER AGENCY MUS MAKE A LIST OF THOSE WHO ARE APPROVED SPONSORS TO MAKE IT EASIER FOR THE STUDENTS.

I had applied in tier 4 base system on 17th July 2009 and i also have already submitted all legal documents to vfs office at ahemdabad city India. Till now no answer had came from the British High Commission and my class is started on 31st August that was my latest joining date. So what should I have to think in my case is negative or positive is there
any chance to get visa after 1 ½ month is over no answer is coming from BHC .

Please help me what should I do or contact anybody.

I have apllied for student visa on 10 sept , 2009 . I did a small mistake in visa application form . My sponsor licence number is YVEDPAGQ5 . but instead of Q , i filled 0 .. by mistake .. … i submitted following documents….
1 . visa letter .. 2 … proof of maintance funds …
3 . ielts score card . 4 … acedemic certificates.

Can this be the reason for refusal ? if yes ….can this overturn after admintrative review…..

I have a visa letter that I got last month just before my approved education provider’s license was suspended, and though I have already been granted permission to enter the United Kingdom, I have not yet travelled. Late commencement date of my class was on 17th of August, which has already been passed. It’s been a month or some now. Would you please advise me whether I should wait until my college’s status has been resolved or there is any chance to change my college at this moment. What to do next?

My cousin Applied under the teir 4 student visa program in india, on 1st September, on the very same day..later on the day the collage was suspended and take of the sponser’s register list. The collage has appealed and are waiting for a reply, which takes 28days. His course start date was 28th September, by the time the collages appeal is reviewed, his start date would have been passed. So would he be denied a visa, even if the collage is willing to give him a new start date of 28th October?

I have applied for uk student visa on 19 Aug 09. But, on this day UKBA updated a rule which is “Every student should have to mention their education level in their visa letter as IQF”. My visa letter didn’t mention this level cause they didn’t know the rule. My result is still pending and my subject was ACCA. I’ll be very happy if u answer me that what will happen my visa result.

i had interviewed in 2 days before at BHC at mumbai embassy and i had passed with confidence but they didn’t given me the answer there i got visa or not..so i m waiting when answer will come after interview.. by courier how much time they will take .,they already take 4 months after i applied. but after interview how much time the take..

I applied for my extension of stay as student from bc college of north west london on 29th oct i have only received a letter saying application received till now 3 days back i checked i the tier 4 list and this college was not there . What should i do now i dont know when exactly the college was taken off from the register as some one told me that you only have 28 days before u send your new enrolment to home office & no good college wouuld give me back date enrolment and i can only get new enrolment for jan session . DEAR MR. OF COLLEGE ABC AND XYZ YOU CAN GET ADMISSION IN THIRD COLLEGE EVEN THEN IN 04TH AND ONWARD, BUT TRY TO GET PUBLIC SECTOR COLLEGE OR PREMIUM PRIVATE COLLEGE TO AVOID THIS PROBLEM.

Me from Bangladesh………I applied for tier 4. I submitted provisional certificate of my Bachelor Degree, which was accepted by my college and visa letter was issued. But Entry Clearance officer refused my application coz on my visa letter only “certificate” was stated instead of “Provisional Certificate”. I’ve collected a revised visa letter from the same college where “provisional certificate” is mentioned. should I submit all the papers during administrative Review and will I get the visa ?

My college was supposed to start on jan 18 . But got the visa on 19th jan only from VFS, So I was deffered for the feb 15 intake. For the feb intake there is extra 2 months making it totally 12+2 months course. Normally visa is valid for the duration of the course + 6 months. Since I was deffered for the feb intake and extra 2 months course ending only in april 2011. My VFS visa valid till may 30th 2011. Do i need to go to uk and apply for extension or need to do it from here only. The name of the college is Kensington college of business.

so i am inform to my agent & college its explianed you go to next intake dontwarry
still my prob is i am waiting for my extension letter but college told me its suspended of tier 4 registerd list thats why college not issue any offer letter & extension letter as per rules
so pls suggestion of this matter
