Following major reforms to the immigration system to control migration by way of the points based system, the Government will now reform settlement in the UK by introducing the principle of ‘earned citizenship’.
If you are a migrant, it is your responsibility to ensure you have the right to remain in the UK. The employer may be fined, but you are the one who will be deported.

Following last week’s report that the Attorney General had employed an illegal immigrant, the media has published further revelations putting pressure on Baroness Scotland, one of the architects of the 2006 Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act, to resign.
In an interview with the Mail on Sunday, the Attorney General’s former housekeeper, Tongan Loloahi Tapui, claims that she did not show Baroness Scotland a passport when she was employed to work for her in January.
