Studying in the UK – UK Border Agency Video

Students coming to study in the UK from outside Europe will now have to apply for their visa using the points based system.

Immigration Minister Phil Wollas say’s overseas students, which number over 375,000 in under graduates alone, are worth almost £9 billion to the UK economy.

He said that systems are now more robust, but added that in his view the student visa route has been the most “abused route in the immigration system”.
