New Immigration Bill Gets Royal Assent

The new Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act was given the Royal assent last week, empowering Britain to strengthen its borders and punish employers exploiting illegal labour with fines of up to £2000 pounds fine or two years in jail. Through the Act, Britain can implement its five-year strategy for immigration and asylum, published in 2005.
