Home Office Announce New Crackdown on Employing Illegal Workers

As the government struggles to cope with the estimated 500,000 undocumented migrants in the UK, this week Immigration Minister Liam Byrne announced a further crackdown on employers who employ illegal immigrants.

Businesses face fines of up to £10000 per illegal worker and will have to carry out annual checks on their employee’s suitability to work in the UK.

Bison Management will be shortly launching a new service to help employers with these checks. The service will include a file and visa check and employers will be issued with a “suitability to work” certificate.

If you should have any questions on working or studying in the UK email Charles Kelly info@immigrationmatters.co.uk.
