Hi, I am a Bangladeshi student, who have been granted a 15 months student visa, expiring on 31st of October 2010. I was enrolled in MBA program which is supposed to terminate on August 2010. But due to the failure in my Dissertation, I will have to re-submit it on 24th of September 2010 and my result will be published on November 2010.

So in view of above I will remain obliged if you can inform me whether it will be possible to grant me a visa extension based on my re-submission of Dissertation.

thanking you,

Lanny Anthony Rodrigues

my visa application has been refused because of I have not provided my Bachelor Diploma to Home Office.
Firstly, In spite of refusal decision Home Office gives me chance to make a new, fresh application. But there is a notice on 4th page of letter which is in all cases an application should be made before your current leave expires. Unfortunately, my visa expire date is 04.08.2010 they sent me the letter at 26.08.2010 and I have received the letter at 27.08.2010. They give me chance to make new application but my visa expire date has already passed today 25 days.
Secondly, regarding Home Office rules Tier 4 (Student) applicants have to keep £1.200 minimum 28 days in their bank account and show this amount on their bank statements. I have been keeping £1.200 in my account for 2 or 3 days.
I need to ask two questions.
The first of them is that shall I make a new and fresh application? Second one is that do I have to fill 28 days in order to send my fresh bank statement to Home Office?

You are not an idiot. Your wife's motive is to work here and not to study. The level of education is higher from where you come from. You might be thinking that UK is the Fantasy Land, a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. Rules are rules. For example, every company have its Equality and Diversity policies. Workers are treated fairly here, but not Asians. The blame might be on the color of your skin. Your efforts are not credited, no matter how skillful and industrious you may be. They can't say, "This is My Land." It is rude! They would rather say, "The law is hard, but it is Our law." It is just rice crispies and cornflakes at the end of the rainbow. You are not an idiot, Mate, aren't you?

I feel so sick reading all these problems posted above. Im in the Philippines but I am also affected because my wife is in the same situation as yours. I feel so saddened that in a country like the UK, it is happening. I feel that it is really an abuse to any student. My wife left for UK with legitimate documents because it is the right thing to do. We do not want to break any rules in the UK but when she arrived in the UK, problems started to come out because of this TIER 4 issue. She left when TIER 4 was not in place yet but her school is investigated for the TIER 4 license and she was forced to transfer to CCC in London. All tuition fees has been paid in March but suddenly the school increased tuition fees in June and she was pressured to pay or she will be reported to UKBA and dismissed from the college. Can you imagine that? Isn't that harrassment? My wife did not pay because she feels it's a breach on their contract and the school does not have license yet. She sought advice from different agencies but until now, no action has been undertaken. If the Philippines is 3rd in the most corrupt countries, what do you call UK then? Nobody can help them with regard to this issue. They wrote to UKBA but no single reply was received from them. My wife now has no school, secondly she paid full tuition fees and she could not recovered the money even if this is a clear breach of contract. Her visa expires seven months from now and she did not have any course completed. When the time comes that she will extend her visa, for sure she will be refused because they will find out that she was not enrolled or completed any course within her stay there. But who's fault is it really? I think personally, in the first instance, that she should not allowed to be bothered by the TIER 4 issue because she was still governed by rules placed before March 2009. But it seems that students arent well informed or misinformed by their sponsor schools. It is so surprising that even schools do not know how to advise students regarding this. How can you expect my wife to pay another tuition fee for a different college. You need to pay again 3000 pounds and how much is that in Philippine peso? 210,000 more or less. That is equivalent to two years of her pay here as a nurse. I could not help but be really mad at the way UK is treating their international students. Everyday is a trauma to us. We do not know what to do. No advisors to tell us the right thing and the right process. When we do research to UKBA site, some of the answers for relevant questions were deleted on their site pages. Come on! We may be from a 3rd world corrupt country but we are not idiots! We studied and we are professionals but you are treating us as if we were born just now. So disgusting!

hi i am ashley, i came here in england as a student visa holder and i arrived on oct 19 2008, my first college was Kings College in Manchester near picadilly. and it was already under investigation for their license. I paid the Kings College 1500 and since they have licensce problem, I decided to look for another college,. however, the school didnt give me back the money.
Premier Inn College in Stockport was my second college. they promised me that before my visa expires on october 2009, they would have a license (it was only because they were new thats why they dont have the license yet- thats what they said). So paid them 2000 pounds, and again, they didnt have the license.

My third college was Global Vision College in Oxford Road and this one has a license. I renewed my visa. Half way of the semester, the college was again on investigation of the Home Office. and students were again needed to transfer. that was february 2010.

and since then, I didnt go to college anymore. coz the college will start on september. and since then i left my job as well in holiday inn manchester airport.

I'd like to know that after all what happened, can I still renew my visa and find another college again?

Hello.I really need some urgent help. I applied for an extension of my student visa and it was refused. Later I appealed against the decision and my visa was allowed on 18.05.10.I have a court letter saying that I am not dealing anymore with visa issues and I just need to wait for the UKBA contact. The problem is I am waiting for my Foreign Identification Card for more than 13 weeks and it does not come.I called UKBA and they said that there is not time frame. No one gives me any information.I sent emails, special delivery letters and faxes and no answer. I know I cannot travel abroad without it but at least they could give me a letter where they state that I am allowed to work. I sent inumerous requests about that letter and no answer as well. I have been refused in lots of jobs. What do you suggest to me to do?I really need to work.
I am sorry for this extense report.
Thank you
