AFFINITY TRAINING COLLAPSE VICTIM? HOW CAN MAJESTIC COLLEGE HELP YOU?
Majestic College, the leading NVQ training provider, has been inundated with enquiries from international students, employers and assessors who have lost money following the collapse of Affinity Training Ltd last week.
The majority of enquiries came from students who have arrived in the UK during the last three months and are still awaiting a start date for their training.
Some of the students have already completed their portfolios but were told that there was no IV (Internal verifier) or EV (External Verifier) available to complete their work and issue certificates. Others, some of whom have been in the UK for nearly 2 years, are still awaiting final certificates.
Many of the callers said they had been in the UK for nearly 2 years but had never seen the college.
Students in the UK on student visas are desperately worried about their legal status now that they are unable to remain in full time study (part of the student visa requirements) following the collapse of their NVQ provider. Important
International students, on student visas, will need to register with a new college. To comply with your visa conditions the college must be on the Department for Innovation, Universities & Skills or DIUS (Formerly DfES) Register. You can search the register at: http://www.dcsf.gov.uk/providersregister/search.cfm.
How can Majestic Help?
Majestic College are running portfolio days for ex-Affinity students to enable their Internal Verifier to assess how far students have got with their portfolios and recommend an action plan to enable them to continue with their course and achieve the qualification.
