Announce New Crackdown
on
Employing Illegal Workers
by

As the government struggles to cope with the estimated 500,000
undocumented migrants in the UK, this week Immigration Minister Liam Byrne
announced a further crackdown on employers who employ illegal immigrants.
Businesses face fines of up to £10000 per illegal worker and will
have to carry out annual checks on their employee’s suitability to work in the
UK.
Bison Management will be shortly launching a new service to help
employers with these checks. The service will include a file and visa check and
employers will be issued with a “suitability to work” certificate.
